“When women rise, we bring the whole community with us.” –Shirley Chisholm.
Women, young people, families, and those furthest from justice will decide who will lead Seattle and King County. This forum isn’t about politics as usual — it’s about community conversations that center equity, accountability, and the voices of everyday people.
FMS Global Strategies, Byrd Barr Place, and the WA Build Back Black Alliance are hosting an in-person candidate forum for the positions of King County Executive, Mayor of Seattle, Seattle City Council Position 9, and Seattle City Attorney. The event is scheduled for Monday, October 13, from 4:00-8:00 pm. This event will be held at Byrd Barr Place in Seattle. Please register here.
Special Student Civic Engagement: College students who attend in person will receive a $25 Visa gift card as a thank-you for showing up and making your voices heard. Limited to 30 students, must sign up with school email and have school ID at check-in.
