The policy and planning decisions made in communities are driven by people who hold the most power and privilege. One promising way to create change is through engagement that’s co-designed with communities who have historically been marginalized and excluded.
Come learn about local examples of inclusive, cross-cultural engagement, and hear from community-based nonprofits who have been collaborating on city initiatives. Speakers will share the benefits of co-designed efforts and considerations for moving away from transactional forms of “drive by” engagement that have historically been used.
