Cafecitos December – Safe Haven

December  Meeting:

🌟 Join Us at our Cafecitos on Dec 18th at 9 am! 🌟

Over the years, we’ve faced challenges that have tested us, taught us, and helped us grow. From these experiences, we’ve gained invaluable insights that can guide us forward.

Now, let’s channel what we’ve learned into action, in our meeting we will:

  •  Have a welcoming and safe space for open discussion
  • Reflect on the lessons from the past and explore how we can apply them today.
  • Collaborate as a group to create meaningful responses.
  • Identify both immediate steps we can take and strategies for long-term impact.
  • Share knowledge and resources to empower each other.

As the saying goes, never let a good crisis go to waste. Let’s seize this opportunity to build a stronger, united future. Together, we are ready.

We welcome providers and supporters of Eastside’s immigrant and refugee communities. Join monthly “Cafecitos” meetings to identify advocacy priorities, share information, and collaborate to support local immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees. Cafecitos is a gathering created by the Safe Haven group, an informal network formed in 2019 that has been involved in advocacy efforts with local school districts and cities to address language justice, cultural supports, and equitable access to opportunities for youth and families. We partner with housing advocates to work on systemic solutions including more affordable housing, tenant rights & protections, and addressing discrimination and bias. (See our Community Safety initiative for more resources to support community members experiencing hate and bias.)
