We welcome providers and supporters of Eastside’s immigrant and refugee communities. Join monthly “Cafecitos” meetings to identify advocacy priorities, share information, and collaborate to support local immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees. Cafecitos is a gathering created by the Safe Haven group, an informal network formed in 2019 that has been involved in advocacy efforts with local school districts and cities to address language justice, cultural supports, and equitable access to opportunities for youth and families. We partner with housing advocates to work on systemic solutions including more affordable housing, tenant rights & protections, and addressing discrimination and bias.
