Restore Voting Rights

The House passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act last week, but there’s an uphill battle in the Senate when the debate opens on Tuesday, Jan. 18. The family of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. is leading a march in D.C. on Monday, calling for “no celebration” of MLK day without action on voting rights legislation.
