Do you know what to do if you see ICE in your community?
Our partners at Indivisible Eastside have created a training for anyone who wants to learn what to do if they encounter ICE activity.
This is an important training that provides practical information on what to do—and what not to do—in these situations. Think of it like CPR: you hope you never need it, but being prepared can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.
This 1-hour basic class will show you what to do if you happen to see immigration enforcement activity. It’s like taking CPR training: you hope you’ll never need it, but it’s good to know what to do in case of an emergency.
Topics include:
- The role and responsibilities of a Constitutional Observer
- Key constitutional rights relevant to observation and documentation
- How to use the V.I.D.E.O. framework for clear, consistent reporting
- How to identify immigration agents
- Best practices for personal safety and non-interference
This training was developed by Indivisible Eastside, Seattle Indivisible and West Seattle Indivisible, with support from ACLU-WA and WAISN.
You can sign up and bring a friend with you to this training! Just indicate the total number of people that you will be bringing in the “Are you signing up a group?” field when registering.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
