City of Kirkland Council Meeting

Kirkland City Council Meeting and Study Session

The Kirkland City Council meets at 7:30 pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 123 5th Ave. Study sessions are held before regular meetings starting at 5:30 pm; no official action may be taken at study sessions.

You can watch or participate in regular meetings and study sessions via Zoom, either by calling 253-215-8782 or 206-337-9723 (both toll-free in the US) or online here (webinar ID 833 0932 5268; no passcode needed). Meetings can be watched live on Kirkland TV, YouTube, Facebook or the city website. The meetings are recorded and available to the public, generally within 24 hours and can be found here the next day.

Scheduled agenda items include:

  • Affordable Housing Requirements in Low-Density Residential Zones (agenda memo)
    • City staff recommends that they keep the same model as last year, since they haven’t had a chance to see how effective it is yet.
  • Housing Dashboard Briefing (agenda memo)
    • The City’s housing dashboard tool will be updated in partnership with the new Housing Futures Center. This is a good resource for community members to learn about!
