How to use your cellphone to record events & actions
Have you ever pulled out your phone to capture some quick action, only to realize later that your photo or video are less than ideal?
Knowing the basics of taking stable and effective videos is a great skill to have — whether you’re taking a photo of a great play at a sporting event or documenting ICE activity.
This hands-on camera workshop will teach techniques and tips to safely take stable and effective videos. You’ll learn basic rules of framing, and get practice in movement & breathing techniques to avoid “shaky cam”.
Topics include:
- How to quickly assess the situation and film it to best suit your need
- Camera/handheld stabilization exercises
- Safety: where to film from, and using different lenses
- Scenarios & role-playing
This training is for everyone! No filming experience needed, but even pros will learn some tips (and share some). Our activities and examples will focus on documenting protected-speech activities such as constitutional observation and rallies.
Pre-requisite:
