Inclusive Dialogue

We can’t advance equity in our community if we can’t have productive, meaningful conversations. Dialogue alone does not create change; however, when used as part of an overall strategy, it can spark and sustain racial equity efforts within organizations. The training is for people interested in leading and facilitating inclusive dialogues within their own neighborhoods, workplaces, community groups, and schools.

Structured, facilitated conversations with fellow community members from different racial and cultural backgrounds strengthens learning, skill-building, and the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment. Most importantly, it supports the relationship-building required to take action within our spheres of influence.

Who’s Missing? Map Your Equity Ecosystem

If your workplace or organization is new to racial equity work, or you’re getting stuck in a cycle of one step forward and two steps back, it’s helpful to take stock of your system. In this interactive session, participants will explore the components necessary to advance and sustain equity work.  Understand the role(s) you play and how to work more strategically with others. We encourage you to attend with at least one other person you work with.

Designed for people who are championing racial equity within their work places, schools, and faith communities. Get support, learn from others, and share ideas for how to be more effective change agents.

Equipping Ourselves for Equity Work: A Practical Tool for Communities and Institutions

We have the will and desire, but do we have the skills needed to advance equity and racial justice in our organizations, schools, and communities? Join us for an introductory conversation about the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI), a tool that helps us see how we make meaning of – and respond – to differences. We’ll share how Eastside For All is using the IDI to support the essential mindset, skills, and concrete actions required to disrupt institutional racism.

The above events are free and open to community members from all racial and cultural backgrounds.
